ABOUT THE ARTIST

IMG_4077.jpg

I'm Dhiksha Sajnani, an artist and art teacher with a background in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. Additionally, I hold a master's degree in education from Moreland University and am a certified teacher through the TeachNOW program. Currently, I'm pursuing further studies at The College for Educational and Clinical Art Therapy, working towards a master's in art therapy, which fuels my passion for combining art and healing.

Every year, I create new collections that are not just pieces of art but also expressions of wearable creativity. Each artwork within these collections reflects a part of my inner self, drawing inspiration from emotions, life situations, and the intricate workings of the human mind. In addition to my artistry, I freelance as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator, for weddings and collaborate with event companies.

I collaborate with Fashion Designers as a Fine Artist/Fabric Designer. My strength lies in adaptability—I embrace different artistic approaches, continuously evolving my skills without confining myself to a specific style or technique.

Despite my active involvement in creating art, I find immense satisfaction in teaching. My passion for education is supported by formal training across various creative mediums. With expertise in traditional and digital art forms such as graphic design, drawing, painting, and printmaking, I customize my lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning styles. My master's degree in education equipped me with the ability to create effective teaching strategies suited to contemporary educational needs.

I've recently launched Abstract Studio, a haven dedicated to self-discovery. Here, we provide an immersive journey through the Inner Child activity, guiding individuals to reconnect with their younger selves, express past experiences through drawings, and liberate themselves from emotional ties. Additionally, at Abstract Studio, we host holiday-themed workshops for children, celebrating special occasions such as Halloween, Christmas, Lokra Thong, and Diwali. These workshops infuse festive creativity into our artistic journey, offering a vibrant and joyful atmosphere for children to explore their creativity during these holidays.
